 \, Maine[spacer height="20px"]\n\nThe National Coalition for Literacy (N
 CL)\, in partnership with the Maine Adult Education Association (MAEA)\,
  will convene adult education\, workforce development\, career and techn
 ical education\, employer\, and other key stakeholders from across New E
 ngland for a regional conversation about the future of work and the crit
 ical role of adult education in building the workforce of tomorrow.\n\n&
 nbsp\;\n\nBuilding on NCL's National Adult Education &amp\; Literacy Sta
 keholder Summit held in Las Vegas in March 2026\, this interactive regio
 nal convening will explore the forces shaping the future workforce and w
 hat adult education systems and programs must do to prepare learners for
  emerging opportunities and changing skill demands. Participants will en
 gage in facilitated discussions focused on shared policy priorities\, in
 novative practices and services\, skills-based approaches\, career pathw
 ays\, and stronger cross-sector partnerships.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe event wi
 ll provide an opportunity for leaders from across New England to learn f
 rom one another\, identify common challenges and opportunities\, and con
 sider how adult education\, workforce development\, CTE\, employers\, an
 d other partners can work together more effectively to build a skilled\,
  adaptable\, and inclusive regional workforce.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe goal is
  not simply to discuss the future\, but to identify shared priorities\, 
 promising strategies\, and opportunities for collective action that stre
 ngthen adult education's role as an essential part of New England's work
 force infrastructure.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe symposium will be followed by th
 e MAEA Annual Conference\, October 15–16.  In addition\, NCL will be 
 providing a session track at the MAEA Conference on Leadership\, Policy
