As part of its mission to educate legislators, policymakers, and the general public about the pivotal role of adult education in strengthening communities, NCL follows current areas of concern and provides information on and links to resources that illustrate both the challenges that adult education encounters and the solutions that it offers. These resources can be effective tools for advocacy at federal, state, and local levels.

Communications and Comments
NCL regularly follows up on opportunities to respond to federal-level Notices of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRMs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) that address issues pertinent to adult education and adult learners.
Joint Communications with Colleague Organizations
NCL contributes to collective impact by signing on to letters developed by colleague organizations such as the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the Census Project, and the Committee for Education Funding.
