America Built to Last:  The Critical Role of Adult Literacy

 

To launch National Adult Education and Family Literacy (AEFL) Week, the National Coalition for Literacy (NCL) and Adult Literacy and Learning Impact Network (ALL IN) will host a one-hour national conversation highlighting the state of adult literacy in America and the critical role adult education and literacy play in strengthening individuals, families, communities, the workforce, and our economy.

 

America Built to Last: The Critical Role of Adult Literacy will look at where we’ve been, where we are, and where we need to go. From the history and evolution of adult education in America to the challenges, opportunities, and changing skill demands facing the field today. Most importantly, adult learners will share their own stories of how access to education and literacy services has changed their lives.
