American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE) provides leadership for the field of adult and continuing education by expanding opportunities for adult growth and development; unifying adult educators; fostering the development and dissemination of theory, research, information, and best practices; promoting identity and standards for the profession; and advocating for relevant public policy and social change initiatives.
Adult Learning Alliance, Inc is a non-profit that provides structure and support to county-level literacy councils serving adults in Arkansas. These councils offer instructional tutoring to adults who want to learn to read, write or speak English better.
Adult Numeracy Network (ANN) is a professional organization for math educators who work with adult learners in the United States. ANN is a community dedicated to quality mathematics instruction at the adult level, and influences policy and practice in adult math instruction. Its members include teachers, tutors, researchers, administrators, and professional developers working in adult basic education, adult numeracy, high school equivalency, community colleges, developmental mathematics, and family numeracy.

Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems (CASAS) provides testing of basic and academic skills for youth and adults and curriculum tools to design instruction. CASAS tests are valid and reliable for native and non-native English speakers and assess reading, math, listening, speaking, and writing from the lowest literacy levels to high school exit and transition to postsecondary education, training, and the workforce. The U.S. Departments of Education and Labor have approved CASAS tests.
