American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE) provides leadership for the field of adult and continuing education by expanding opportunities for adult growth and development; unifying adult educators; fostering the development and dissemination of theory, research, information, and best practices; promoting identity and standards for the profession; and advocating for relevant public policy and social change initiatives.

Adult Learning Alliance, Inc is a non-profit that provides structure and support to county-level literacy councils serving adults in Arkansas. These councils offer instructional tutoring to adults who want to learn to read, write or speak English better. 

Adult Numeracy Network (ANN) is a professional organization for math educators who work with adult learners in the United States. ANN is a community dedicated to quality mathematics instruction at the adult level, and influences policy and practice in adult math instruction. Its members include teachers, tutors, researchers, administrators, and professional developers working in adult basic education, adult numeracy, high school equivalency, community colleges, developmental mathematics, and family numeracy.

American Library Association (ALA) empowers and advocates for libraries and library workers to ensure equitable access to information for all.  ALA champions diversity, education and lifelong learning, equitable access to information and library services, intellectual freedom and literacy.

Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL) promotes language learning and cultural understanding by serving as a trusted source for research, resources, and policy analysis. Through its work, CAL seeks solutions to issues involving language and culture as they relate to access and equity in education and society around the globe.

Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems (CASAS) provides testing of basic and academic skills for youth and adults and curriculum tools to design instruction.  CASAS tests are valid and reliable for native and non-native English speakers and assess reading, math, listening, speaking, and writing from the lowest literacy levels to high school exit and transition to postsecondary education, training, and the workforce.  The U.S. Departments of Education and Labor have approved CASAS tests.

George & Barbara Bush Foundation is dedicated to promoting and preserving former President George H.W. Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush’s legacies of selfless service and traditional American values.  It strives to preserve the historic legacies of President and Mrs. Bush primarily by supporting and promoting education and service-oriented programs.

Goodling Institute for Research in Family Literacy in the College of Education at Penn State University provides national leadership that promotes the value of family literacy and supports program improvement through research and its application to practice and professional development.

Jobs for the Future (JFF) transforms U.S. education and workforce systems to drive economic success for people, businesses, and communities by designing solutions, scaling best practices, influencing policy and action, and investing in innovation.  JFF forges deep partnerships with employers, investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and education and workforce development providers to break down barriers and reimagine what’s possible.

Literacy Assistance Center (LAC) is dedicated to strengthening and expanding the adult education system, and to advancing adult literacy as a core value in our society and a foundation for equal opportunity and social justice.  LAC works to build the capacity and improve the quality of the basic education, high school equivalency, and English language programs that serve New York’s most educationally and economically marginalized adults and out-of-school youth.

Literacy Minnesota & Northstar Digital Literacy  Literacy Minnesota connects people to transformative learning, sparks innovation in literacy and mobilizes change.  Northstar Digital Literacy helps individuals around the world master the digital skills needed to work, learn and participate fully in daily life. Northstar provides curricula, individual online learning and online assessments in three main areas: essential computer skills, essential software skills and using technology in daily life.

Mountain Plains Adult Education Association (MPAEA) supports and promotes lifelong learning in the 9-state Mountain Plains region (Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming). MPAEA promotes and provides professional development opportunities for adult educators, publishes and distributes relevant information about lifelong learning, and supports and strengthens member associations within the Mountain Plains region.

National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) works to eradicate poverty through education solutions for families. For over 35 years, NCFL’s foundational family literacy work has improved learning outcomes and expanded to include family engagement and family leadership opportunities. NCFL works to eliminate barriers to family wellbeing, create powerful family learning experiences, and grow stronger communities.

New Mexico Higher Education Department/Adult Education Division provides financial, academic, and policy oversight and support to the New Mexico public higher education institutions and our formal community partners for the purpose of promoting efficiency, accountability, and student success. The Adult Education Division helps adults strengthen core academic skills and achieve their personal, educational, and career goals.

ProLiteracy is a leader in advancing adult literacy in the U.S. and throughout the world.  ProLiteracy provides funding, comprehensive training, professional learning, accessible research, and digital and print resources (New Readers Press), to unleash the power of literacy to transform lives.

TESOL International Association advances professional expertise in English language teaching to speakers of other languages in multilingual contexts worldwide through professional learning, research, standards, and advocacy.
